I Hope you’re well this summer.
I’m writing to tell you about a show about Truth and Reconciliation hosted by the Art Gallery of Bancroft, running for two months in the fall of 2023.
I’m hoping you’ll take it in and help us spread word about this project.
The exhibition is structured as two connected shows.
The first, “Truth”, will feature artwork by Indigenous artists from the Algonquins of Ontario.
The second show, “Reconciliation” will feature work by non-Indigenous artists from the same area.
You are invited to attend both the “Truth” opening ceremony on Thursday, September 7 and the opening reception for “Reconciliation” on October 5 too. There’ll be drummers, singers and Indigenous cuisine.
I’m co-curator with Robin Tinney, who is leading the project.
